Just Another Snow Day is a hilarious look at what happens in the lives of kids and adults when a blizzard hits and knocks out the power to a small town very much like Le Mars. In trying to figure out how to stay warm and occupied, each quirky character creates flurries of fun, from licking a frozen flagpole to braving the elements in securing the latest video game to putting on a play without any actors, and snow on and snow forth. Just Another Snow Day is a blast for all ages! Performances are November 9, 10, and 11 at 7:00 in the LCHS Little Theatre. Admission is $5.
T&I members have done a few things to raise money for T&I the biggest one is the booster. So I went and asked the members some questions on it and the will be below
What gave you the idea of having a booster in this manor?"In 2008 the school went through a series of budget cuts. The T&I programs was one of the possible cuts. When finished the welding was cut and the auto was saved. The Booster Club was formed and it raised money to pay for a WITCC Instructed to keep T&I going."
How much help do you get from the students and how do the students feel about helping?"Some students want to help. Others ones are not as interested."
How many people will say that they support TNI?"Their are two many to count but it is a pretty good number."
What all goes on while doing the TNI Booster? And what has the best influence? ""We fund raise several things for the program. We also try to help the Arnold Motors and Total Sales and lastly we have the dinner for the Community to get together and eat some good food."
What amount of time do you take out to do this Booster?" To get ready for this it takes several days even with all the help in the classes. Because we sweep the whole shop, wash the floors of the shop, and put tables, chairs out.
What would the money from this Booster go to? And how will it help?"In the pass it would go to pay the instructor. But in the past couple years it would help for getting the bus up to T&I, some tools equipment in both the welding classes and auto classes.
What outside support do you get? And how many people help?" The Booster Clubs help each other with the scheduling and setting up for the event. And their are quite a few industry or people who donate for the auction.
How many years has this Booster gone on for?" Next year will be a total of of ten years
Congratulations to the following students who were accepted into the Northwest Iowa Honor Band this past Saturday:
